Summary

"She came to England to search for her family。 She didn’t expect to find witches, magic, romance, chocolate… and murder。" The latest book in the delicious paranormal cozy mystery series filled with the perfect blend of magic and mayhem!
WHAT READERS ARE SAYING:
"This series has me completely bewitched!"
"A mysterious past, a quirky friend, enough potential to keep your heart pounding。 Add in a dab of humor, paranormal high jinks and a hunky potential love interest, plus awesome animals。 This was a fast and entertaining read。 And chocolate too? Can't wait to read the next one! I have read other of Hanna's books, and I am hooked。"
"。。。 perfect antidote for a winter "funk"。 It is filled with eccentric characters and spooky goings on, including a string of murders and an ancient and toothless vampire guardian。 Of course, there is the handsome local Lord James Fitzroy with his lovable mastiff。。。 should come with a warning label however。 It produces a tremendous craving for chocolate!"

I really enjoyed this book。 If like me and you have been here from the start then you will know well Caitlyn's cousin Pomona and the strangeness surrounding her and her latest boyfriend。 Well the wait is over in this fun and engaging mystery as we learn a lot more about what is going on。 Don't worry if this is your first adventure into the wonderful chocolate shop world because the author creates a story that is easy to follow along with and you soon get sucked in。 The mystery was good and I nev I really enjoyed this book。 If like me and you have been here from the start then you will know well Caitlyn's cousin Pomona and the strangeness surrounding her and her latest boyfriend。 Well the wait is over in this fun and engaging mystery as we learn a lot more about what is going on。 Don't worry if this is your first adventure into the wonderful chocolate shop world because the author creates a story that is easy to follow along with and you soon get sucked in。 The mystery was good and I never saw the ending coming but I will certainly be looking out for the next book to find what's going to happen next。 It's the amazing characters that make this book (and in fact the whole series) so magical。 Normally I have a favourite character but with this series of is really hard to choose which I like best from the vampire fruit bat who is always losing his teeth to the small mischievous black cat that gets under everybody feet to the shy cousin's who's spells never turn out right and of course not forgetting Caitlyn herself。 All are a lot of fun and a great way to spend a few hours getting lost in there weird and wonderful world of mystery, love, friendship, family and even magic is possible。Lord James Fitzroy is hosting the autumn equinoxs masquerade ball at the manor and the whole village is invited。 Caitlyn and The widow Mags are providing the food as the theme is all based around chocolate delights。 Caitlyn thought the worse thing that could happen was she would make a fool of her self in front of everybody or even worse in front of James by spill chocolate down her dress。 But with her young cousin casting spells so she would get noticed, her elderly vampire uncle asking every guest of they have seen his fangs and the gossipy villagers staging a protest over the party, her dress is the least of her problems。 Then she stumbles over a body in the attic and a part of her cousins costume near the body and everything comes to a sad and early end。 Caitlyn knows Pomona is innocent but with her cousin acting so strange lately she fears she will be blamed for the murder and hides the evidence。 Can she find the real killer before some points the finger at Pomona? The more the police investigate the more it looks like witch craft was involved and with the villagers already fearful of the widow Mags it isn't going to take much for tempers to ignite! But who will get burned?Disclosure: A review copy of this book was sent to me by the author。 All the above opinions are my own。 。。。more

Lord James Fitzroy is hosting a special festival for the people of Tillyhenge。 It is the festival of Mabon, which celebrates the autumn equinox。 Caitlyn Le Fey is looking forward to the Masquerade Ball。 Pomona is dressed for the ball as Medusa with a wig made of rubber snakes。 Pomona is with Thane Blackmort and Caitlyn is concerned for her cousin。 Caitlyn also hopes that with her grandmother, Widow Mags, catering the event, some of the villager's animosity would be soothed。 One of the participan Lord James Fitzroy is hosting a special festival for the people of Tillyhenge。 It is the festival of Mabon, which celebrates the autumn equinox。 Caitlyn Le Fey is looking forward to the Masquerade Ball。 Pomona is dressed for the ball as Medusa with a wig made of rubber snakes。 Pomona is with Thane Blackmort and Caitlyn is concerned for her cousin。 Caitlyn also hopes that with her grandmother, Widow Mags, catering the event, some of the villager's animosity would be soothed。 One of the participants, Daniel Tremaine, is especially interested in the Portrait Gallery, where James' father kept many occult items。 Daniel also seems to be making passes at every woman at the party and some of his comments would be considered crude at best。Toward the end of the evening, Caitlyn goes looking for Pomona and is told by a very drunk, Mr。 Bates, that he saw her walking up the stairs at the back of the manor。 One of the rooms at the top of the stairs is the Portrait Gallery。 When Caitlyn enters the Gallery, she finds a rubber snake on the floor and Daniel Tremaine with what looks like a spear sticking out of his chest。 Pomona says she was in the study sleeping, but has nobody to verify her alibi。 Caitlyn knows that Pomona has been acting strange lately, but refuses to believe she is guilty of murder。Who killed Daniel Tremaine? Why was he killed? Why is Pomona acting so different? Can Caitlyn solve the mystery and protect Pomona?H。 Y。 Hanna has a fantastic addition to her wonderful Bewitched by Chocolate series。 The characters are well done with unique personalities。 The situations are realistic and the mystery has plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing clear to the end。 I am definitely looking forward to the next book in this fantastic series。 。。。more

This is Book 7 in the Bewitched by Chocolate series。 There are not one, but two deaths in this story。 The first death is not exactly considered a " murder" but the police were called in because it was very suspicious。 The second death is obviously a murder。 And guess who found the body? That's right, our heroine Caitlyn who happens to be right in the middle of any murder committed in this small town。 Her cousin Pomona is usually a very lively girl, but ever since she's been involved with the mysterious (and perhaps evil) billionaire Thane Blackmort, she has changed completely and now seems to have developed a streak of cruelty as well as magic powers she never had before。 And Caitlin learns some disturbing news about her mother。 This book ends well as far as Caitlin and James go, but there are still lots of secrets that need to be uncovered。 Can't wait for Book 8! 。。。more

My favourite cosy author has done it again。 Thoroughly enjoyed this one。 The added darker aspect of the black barron added a little extra excitement。 Two hours of bliss。

A wonderful addition to the series after a long wait。 Ms Hanna did not disappoint with Caitlin's latest adventure。 The usual cast of characters, and nasty townsfolk are also included。。。。especially dreamy Lord Fitzroy and Uncle Viktor。 We also learn a lesson at Evie's expense。。。。watch what you wish for。This book is guaranteed to make you laugh and get a little misty eyed。 Only negative, now we have to wait for book, #9。I Received an advanced copy of the book; however, this did not influence my vo A wonderful addition to the series after a long wait。 Ms Hanna did not disappoint with Caitlin's latest adventure。 The usual cast of characters, and nasty townsfolk are also included。。。。especially dreamy Lord Fitzroy and Uncle Viktor。 We also learn a lesson at Evie's expense。。。。watch what you wish for。This book is guaranteed to make you laugh and get a little misty eyed。 Only negative, now we have to wait for book, #9。I Received an advanced copy of the book; however, this did not influence my volunteered opinion。 。。。more

I have been waiting almost two years for the next book in the Bewitched By Chocolate series。 It was worth the wait。 This book is the best in the series so far。 There are so many good characters in this series。 Viktor is my favorite but I love Evie too。 She has a funny side story in this book。 The character development was really good。 I felt like the characters really grew a lot during the course of the book。 The mystery was good too。 I highly recommend this book。 It's a fun read!A review copy o I have been waiting almost two years for the next book in the Bewitched By Chocolate series。 It was worth the wait。 This book is the best in the series so far。 There are so many good characters in this series。 Viktor is my favorite but I love Evie too。 She has a funny side story in this book。 The character development was really good。 I felt like the characters really grew a lot during the course of the book。 The mystery was good too。 I highly recommend this book。 It's a fun read!A review copy of this book was sent to me by the author。 All of the above opinions are my own。 。。。more

Love, love, love this series! I love all of Ms。 Hanna’s books, but this series is my favorite。 It has everything: a sweet, caring heroine; setting in the beautiful English Cotswolds; small towns; good witches; great mysteries; and romance! There was uncertainty as Caitlyn’s cousin started acting strangely。 And then there is a murder (maybe two) that rocks the whole community。 Several red herrings。 But, in the e Love, love, love this series! Salted Caramel Sorcery Earns 5+/5 Caramel Fountains…Engaging and Clever!Caitlyn Le Fey is meticulously focused on creating a caramel sauce worthy to be the centerpiece at Lord James Fitzroy’s Mabon Ball。 But, her efforts are disrupted when Pomona, her American sort-of cousin, shows up critical of Caitlyn’s lack of attention to her costume for the ball。 During the debate, Pomona reveals her new self; she can perform magic。 But, it’s not the helpful and healing magic that Caitlyn’s grandmother and Salted Caramel Sorcery Earns 5+/5 Caramel Fountains…Engaging and Clever!Caitlyn Le Fey is meticulously focused on creating a caramel sauce worthy to be the centerpiece at Lord James Fitzroy’s Mabon Ball。 But, her efforts are disrupted when Pomona, her American sort-of cousin, shows up critical of Caitlyn’s lack of attention to her costume for the ball。 During the debate, Pomona reveals her new self; she can perform magic。 But, it’s not the helpful and healing magic that Caitlyn’s grandmother and aunt practice。 Pomie uses a much darker version taking pleasure in casting pain on a bunch of ants setting up on some spilled caramel。 Caitlyn knew Pomona was closely associating with Thane Blackmort, the enigmatic billionaire, and showing signs of darkness, but doing magic and for evil? That’s disturbing。 Could it have anything to do with the black jewel she wears around her neck? What is Blackmort’s game plan as he tries to gain control of a key piece of Fitzroy’s estate? It gets worse, when at the ball, Pomie shows up with the non-gratis Blackmort as her date。 Caitlyn is busy spurning the advances of the pushy Daniel Tremaine who seems oddly interested in Lord Fitzroy’s late father’s collection of occult objects。 So why does Tremaine end up in a room closed to the public empaled by one of the occult objects? Will Caitlyn turn in a piece of costume found in the room that may implicate someone close to her? Will Lord Fitzroy ever make a move on Caitlyn or will their “alone” moments continue to be interrupted? After almost two years, H。Y。 Hanna has brought an exciting new predicament for Caitlyn and the residents of Tillyhenge in the seventh book of her Bewitched by Chocolate series。 We left Caitlyn continuing to worry about her family, her secret, her budding, complicated relationship with Lord Fitzroy, and her unfortunate luck finding herself entwined in mayhem and murder。 However, it seems not much has change for Caitlyn。 Hanna has developed an exciting new challenge with her dear cousin Pomona crossing over to the darkside。 It was exciting to see a bit more magic beyond the chocolate creations with dark magic, glamour spells, poppets, and a murder with details the local CID struggles to explain。 A small, yet vocal, group of villagers turn vigilante, expertly written to make me feel the anger, the anguish, and the angst, cause more than just an annoyance which did well to illustrate prejudice and the results of misinformation。 Ok, it’s witches they protest, but you can’t deny a contemporary connection。 I am very invested in the series and the characters, so it was great to see Evie, Caitlyn’s blood cousin, get a more important role in the drama to free Pomona and having a personal revelation that shows her growth and maturity。 There is a shocking revelation and a bit of a cliffhanger to contend with, but what a great read! If you’re an animal lover, you love the scenes with Bran, the drool-challenged mastiff, and his little buddy Nibs, the mischievous black cat; if you love vampires, you’ll find Viktor, the six-centuries-old vampire who loves fruit, toffee apples, and has trouble holding on to his teeth, a real hoot; and if you’re a “googler” like me, you’ll find the fascinating details and insights into apples and poppets well worth a search!Disclosure: I received an ARC from H。Y。 Hanna, the author。 My review is voluntary with honest insights and comments。 。。。more
